This tutorial explains how to add attributes to an existing library item in the Toddoo Organiser Portal. Adding attributes helps structure item data and makes products or assets easier to search and filter. You’ll open the Library area, access the item, go to the Attributes section, add new specifications, and save. Make sure you have access to the Organiser Portal and know which item you’ll update before starting. Once completed, the item will display all saved attributes clearly under its details.

Estimated time: 2–5 minutes

Tip: Prepare attribute names and units in advance to keep entries consistent.

Step-by-Step Quick Text Guide

1. Open the Library area from the left menu in the Organiser Portal.

2. Locate and open the item you want to update.

3. Go to the Attributes section in the item details view.

4. Click Add specification to open the attribute popup.

5. Enter Property, Value, and (optional) Unit.

6. Click Add to stage the attribute in the list.

7. Repeat the process for more attributes if needed.

8. Review, edit, or remove any staged attributes as needed.

9. Click Save and finish to apply all changes.

10. Verify that attributes appear correctly in the item details view.

Common Mistakes & Fixes

Entered a value without a property name → Add a Property; both Property and Value fields are required.

Used inconsistent property names → Keep property names standardised. Use the Unit field for measurement context.

Forgot to save after adding attributes → Click Save and finish; staged attributes aren’t saved until you do.

Duplicated the same property → Edit the existing line instead of adding a duplicate.

Selected the wrong unit → Edit the attribute and choose the correct Unit, then save again.

FAQ

Q: Can I edit attributes later?

A: Yes. Open the Attributes section, click the edit icon, adjust the fields, and save.

Q: Can I remove an attribute?

A: Yes. Use the delete icon next to the attribute, then save to confirm changes.

Q: Are units mandatory?

A: No. Only use Unit for numeric or measurable values.

Q: Does Save and finish overwrite attributes?

A: Yes. Save replaces the list, so ensure all desired attributes are included before saving.

Q: Can I bulk add attributes?

A: No. Add attributes one by one, but preparing a list beforehand helps speed up the process.
