This tutorial explains how to create options for an existing library item in the Toddoo Organiser Portal. This feature allows buyers and operators to select valid variants, such as size or color, during ordering. You’ll open the Library, access the item’s Options view, add and configure options, and set up selections with details like stock, pricing, or images. Before starting, make sure that any images you need are already uploaded in the item’s media. Once finished, the options will be active wherever the item is available.

Estimated time: 5–10 minutes

Tip: Decide early whether the option should allow one choice or multiple selections

Open the Library in the left menu, then find and open your existing item. In the item details, go to the Options view. Click Add option, a setup panel will appear.

Enter a clear and friendly name, like Color or Size. Then choose the Option type:

  • Select for one choice,

  • Multi select for multiple,

  • Free text input for custom text,

  • Number if the user needs to input a value.

If the option must be chosen before checkout, toggle Mandatory on.

For Multi select, set the Max selection limit to control how many can be picked.

Click Add to create the option. You’ll now see it as a card in the Options view.

Next, let’s add selections (variants). On the option card, click Add selection and fill in:

  • The Name (like “Red” or “Small”),

  • Optional Color swatch,

  • Available Stock,

  • Optional Image (choose from your media),

  • Adjust Price, if this variant changes the base cost,

  • And any short Description.

Add as many selections as needed, then review or edit them anytime. When you’re happy with the setup, click Save in the Options view to confirm your work.

Your item now includes ready-to-use options—visible in every shop or order flow where it’s used.
